Join us every other Wednesday from 7p-8:30p and explore the rhythms and rich cultural heritage of West African drumming in this hands-on class. Students will delve into traditional drumming techniques, focusing on instruments such as the djembe, dunun, and other percussion instruments. Through interactive lessons, you will learn the basics of rhythmic patterns, ensemble playing, and the historical and social contexts of West African music. No prior experience is necessary, and instruments will be provided.
